A B2B (back-to-back) set is when two DJs perform together using the same decks, taking turns selecting and mixing tracks. Instead of one DJ controlling the music from start to finish, a B2B is a creative exchange. Each DJ reacts to the other’s energy and steers the vibe in their own direction.

There’s no single way to play a B2B:

• Some switch every 2–3 tracks

• Others take longer mini-sets

• Some bounce between tracks in a quick tag-team style

The result is a set full of surprises - blends and transitions you’d never hear from either DJ alone. Chemistry matters, because both DJs must read each other just as well as they read the crowd.

Sometimes you’ll even see B3B sets, three DJs sharing the decks, but B2B is the most common format.

Famous examples include Charlotte de Witte B2B Enrico Sangiuliano, Anyma B2B Solomun, and special festival sets that fans talk about long after the night ends.

When the connection is right, a B2B becomes more than a performance. It’s a conversation told through music.
