Shlømo, CARV and Odymel Respond as Allegations Shake the Hard Techno Scene
Multiple artists leave Steer Management and major events remove names from lineups as the situation continues to unfold
The hard techno scene has been shaken over the past days following a series of allegations that began circulating on Instagram.
The situation started when the Instagram account @bradnolimit, which publicly claimed prior professional ties to Steer Management, published posts accusing Shlømo and CARV of serious misconduct. The posts quickly gained traction across social media, sparking intense discussion within the electronic music community.
Shortly after the initial accusations, additional screenshots and testimonies described as messages from alleged victims were shared on the same account, further intensifying the conversation. At this stage, the claims remain allegations, and no court rulings or official judicial outcomes have been publicly confirmed.
As the story spread, Shlømo responded publicly through his Instagram story. In his statement, he described the accusations as false and defamatory. He stated that the information being circulated was distorted or fabricated and announced that he is working with legal counsel to examine possible legal action. He also said he would step back temporarily to focus on defending his reputation.
In the days that followed, the impact began to extend beyond social media.
Several artists associated with Steer Management, including ALT8, OMAKS, Onlynumbers, Afem Syko, and 6EJOU, announced that they were ending their collaboration with the agency. Through individual Instagram statements, multiple DJs confirmed they were cutting ties, many effective immediately. Their messages referenced the seriousness of the allegations circulating online and emphasized values such as safety, accountability, and respect within techno culture.
At the same time, event organizers began reacting. Several festivals and club events removed the names of artists involved in the controversy from their lineups. Promoters released statements explaining that, while they are not judicial authorities, they chose to prioritize the integrity and safety of their events given the gravity of the situation.
Festival promoter Verknipt also issued an official statement confirming that Basswell, CARV, and Shlømo will no longer perform at upcoming shows. The promoter stated that while they are not a judicial authority and cannot confirm the allegations, they believe this is the responsible step at this time.
As the discussion continued, Odymel published a detailed public statement addressing accusations connected to his name. In his message, he explained that a preliminary investigation is currently underway and that no judicial decision has been made. He stated that he has cooperated with authorities and medical evaluations and emphasized that he has no memory of the alleged incident described. He also acknowledged the emotional impact of the situation and expressed regret, while confirming that he is participating fully in the legal process so that the facts can be established independently.
Shortly after, CARV also released a public statement. In his message, he admitted to having engaged in explicit private conversations in the past and acknowledged personal mistakes during that period. He stated that, according to his account, there was no non-consensual behavior and no criminal wrongdoing. He also announced that he would step away from social media temporarily in order to reflect and take responsibility in his personal life.
Other names, including Fantasm and Basswell, have been widely mentioned in online discussions as part of the broader controversy. As of now, developments continue to unfold, and no final judicial outcomes have been publicly announced.
Beyond the individuals involved, the situation has sparked a wider debate within the hard techno movement. The genre has grown rapidly in recent years, moving from underground spaces into large-scale international events. With that growth has come increased public attention around artist behavior, agency responsibility, and the protection of fans.
Many voices within the community are calling for accountability and safer spaces, while others stress the importance of due process and careful investigation before conclusions are drawn.
At this stage, the allegations remain unproven, and investigations mentioned in public statements are ongoing.
This is a developing story.
