Time Warp starts label with Sven Väth and Roman Flügel’s Rings Of Light

Time Warp is starting its own record label, with Sven Väth and Roman Flügel’s Rings Of Light announced as the first release. The festival brand is moving into records after more than 30 years of festival history.

The launch brings together two established names from German techno. Time Warp presents Väth and Flügel as artists with a long-running musical connection, and says the new imprint will reflect the sound of its event series through its own releases.

Rings Of Light is described as a hypnotic minimal techno track built from repetitive rhythms, dark organ chords and spoken vocals. The report says the track centers on the contrast between light and darkness.

A second version, Knarz Mix, is also part of the release. It is described as the rougher cut, with industrial-leaning drums, sharply accented hi-hats and 303 acid sequences. The report includes a snippet, but does not give a release date, format or catalog number.
