About
A landmark venue in London’s electronic music scene, Printworks became known for its huge industrial halls, powerful sound, and visually striking productions. It offered a club experience on a scale rarely seen in the UK.
Printworks opened in 2017 inside a former newspaper printing factory in Canada Water, transforming the old press halls into one of the city’s most impressive event spaces. Its long, tunnel-like layout, towering machinery, and multi-room design created an atmosphere unlike any other venue, hosting everything from techno and house to drum and bass and live shows. The venue quickly built a global reputation for immersive lighting, large-scale staging, and expertly curated lineups that brought in leading artists, respected labels, and innovative collectives.
Until its closure in 2023 for redevelopment, Printworks held a strong place in the UK’s nightlife landscape. It offered day-into-night raves, festival-style programming, and a space where electronic music could be experienced at full scale. Even after closing, the venue continues to influence London’s club culture and remains one of the most memorable spaces ever created for electronic music.
