Biography

Klangkuenstler, born Michael Korb in 1990 in Füssen, Germany, has become one of the most recognizable names in the European techno scene. His journey into electronic music began during his teenage years in the Bavarian region of Allgäu, where his fascination with beats and sound design quickly grew into a full commitment to production and DJing.

After moving to Munich at the age of 18, he pursued hotel management training while dedicating more and more time to music. In 2011, he launched his first label, Zuckerton Records, and only a year later he made a decisive move to Berlin. Performing at the iconic Ritter Butzke marked the start of a new chapter, immersing him in the city’s thriving underground culture.

Klangkuenstler released his debut album Das bin ich in 2013, followed by That’s Me in 2014, showcasing a style rooted in house music before he transitioned fully into a harder techno sound. Over the years, he has released on respected imprints such as Stil vor Talent, Toolroom, and Superfett, gaining recognition for tracks like Barfuß auf Wolken and Jam Master Jack. His evolving style reflects both versatility and a deep connection with the dance floor.

In recent years, Klangkuenstler has established himself as a driving force in the harder spectrum of techno, playing at major clubs and festivals across Europe. In 2023, he co-founded Tote Sonne together with Kobosil, combining a new record label with an artist agency and fashion concept. This step reflects his vision of techno as not just music but a wider cultural movement.

From his early beginnings in Bavaria to his current role as an international techno figure, Klangkuenstler continues to shape the sound of modern underground music with powerful sets, innovative productions, and a relentless passion for the craft.
