A dramatic moment at Kappa FuturFestival in Turin forced one of the stages to stop when a festivalgoer climbed one of the tall industrial pillars during Carl Cox’s set. Music was paused while firefighters arrived to rescue the man from the high steel structure.
The crowd watched as emergency crews worked to bring him down safely. Thankfully, there were no injuries, but the rescue created a tense break in the festival’s usually high-energy vibe.
Kappa FuturFestival is famous for its huge techno lineups and its unique setting in Parco Dora, known for its old steel beams and industrial look. The incident has led to questions about security and how someone was able to climb such a dangerous spot.
Organizers say they are reviewing safety measures and plan to improve barriers and entry checks to prevent similar problems in the future. Despite the interruption, the festival continued, with fans returning to enjoy the music once the situation was under control.
