Monegros Desert Festival
has officially shared the first piece of news for its 2026 edition, and it’s a big one: Unreal is returning to the desert. The German collective made its debut at Monegros in 2025 and immediately became one of the most talked-about stages of the entire festival. Their heavy industrial sound, dark atmosphere, and intense visual production stood out so much that many people considered it one of the top highlights of the year. With Unreal confirmed this early, it’s clear that Monegros wants to build on that momentum for 2026.

This first announcement comes after the festival wrapped up its massive 2025 edition, which celebrated its 32nd year. Around 50,000 people from more than 90 countries traveled to the desert for 22 hours of nonstop electronic music, spread across 13 different stages and featuring over 150 artists.

Monegros 2025 also saw the introduction of two new spaces: the Unreal stage itself and the Duna Stage by Brunch Electronik, both giving the festival new sounds, new concepts, and new energy. The 2025 edition also ended on a historic note, with Indira Paganotto becoming the first Spanish woman to ever close the festival.

With all of this behind them, Monegros is now turning its attention to 2026, and confirming Unreal as the first returning partner sets the direction for what’s coming next. It suggests that the festival will continue leaning into high-intensity stages, strong identities, and memorable collaborations.

More updates about stages, partners, and artists will start rolling out in the next months, but for now, the message is simple: Unreal is back at Monegros 2026, and that alone is already building excitement for the 33rd edition.
