Awakenings Returns to Monegros Desert Festival for Its Third Edition
From Amsterdam to the desert, the global techno powerhouse strengthens its place at one of Europe’s most extreme festivals
Awakenings is returning to Monegros Desert Festival for its third edition, confirming the collaboration as a fixed part of the festival. What began as a one-off project has developed into a recurring element of Monegros, bringing Awakenings’ programming and format to the Spanish desert.
The Awakenings area functions as a dedicated space within the festival, built around long sets, a consistent musical direction, and a continuous flow from day into night. The setup has become a central part of the weekend for many attendees.
Once again, the Awakenings stage will host more than 22 hours of continuous music, running across the full span of the festival schedule. This format has played a key role in shaping the collaboration between Awakenings and Monegros over the past editions.
The announcement comes shortly after confirmation that Klangkuenstler will bring his OUTWORLD concept to Monegros Desert Festival 2026, adding another major element to this year’s program.
