Jeff Mills will release Gamma Rays on October 30. The new EP brings together four previously unreleased tracks from the 1990s, and Mills has already shared a short preview in an Instagram post.
Right now, the confirmed details are simple. Mills has announced the title, format and release date, but he has not revealed the track names or the label behind the EP.
That makes Gamma Rays a direct look back at a key stretch in Mills' catalog. After co-founding Underground Resistance with Mike Banks, he launched Axis Records in 1992 and released records from that era including The Bells. Gamma Rays now opens up four more tracks from the same decade for their first official release.

The EP arrives during a busy run for Mills. At ADE, he premiered a film inspired by Rembrandt's De Nachtwacht. His Live at Knockdown Center recordings also arrived in spatial audio, followed by a second part. He also performed his Metropolis score live in Potsdam, and The Forbidden Planet with Tomorrow Comes The Harvest is set for November on Axis.
